Kristen Norman

Kristen Norman is a painter working in oil and mixed media, based in the United States. Her practice centers on the accumulation of layers — paint, wax, paper, and mark — as a way of exploring memory, materiality, and the passage of time.

Her work has been exhibited in galleries across the country and is held in private collections in the United States and Europe. She received her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and has been awarded residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and the Ragdale Foundation.
